True Beauty
aswered as commanded by Master Majidah
|
 |
Goreans place great respect and worth on beauty, but they do not see it quite the same way as those of
Earth do. They are not lost to the simplicities of life, and the world around them does not pass by in an unnoticed
blur of daily routine. Yes, beauty encompasses physical characteristics, but to a Gorean, it goes beyond simple "looks,"
spreading to the entirety of the subject.
True beauty is not just what an object appears to be visually, but rather is measured more in the reaction
it produces in the person viewing or experiencing it. In this way, its appreciation can be much more personal, and the evoked
response much more lasting and readily praised.

"..a form of life in which, in many ways, you are strictly and uncompromisingly controlled, but one in which, in other
ways, your deepest desires and needs need no longer be restrained, but may be, fully liberated, a form of life in which you,
though categorically subjected to the perfections of absolute discipline, that of the total slave, are, paradoxically free
to be yourself." Book 20, Players of Gor, page 19
