dreams answered the quotes below once and was asked to dig deeper into her feelings and answer them again. This is what she answered

When I read the quotes before me I tend to think two ways; one as a woman of Urth struggling in her day to day life and the other as a slave of Gor. As a woman of Urth it would be very easy to rage against the injustice of the whole society of Gor. That slaves are human beings with feelings, wants, desires, and needs just like the Free People of Gor. To ask why they should and are treated as animals and such. To look down on the people of Gor who accept this treatment.

Looking back over the history of Urth and the way its people have treated each other even in today’s society it would be very hard to say Urth didn’t start this very way. That perhaps the choices of Gor were perhaps the same Urth had, yet the people of Gor took a different path.

Long ago they say humans were cave dwellers, that the men ruled and treated the women as objects. Cartoons are made of big strong men hunting and then dragging their woman off by her hair, whether she wanted it or not. Later you read about the Native Americans and their lifestyle. Is this any different than Gor? The slaves, one might say is different. Did raiding tribes not take prisoners and make them slaves? Did people not later in life take African Americans from their homeland, sold them as flesh, and put them to work in fields? Raping the women when they felt like it; their children also put to chains.

When I stumbled upon Gor, it was online. I had never heard of John Norman and his Chronicles of Gor. I entered a place of free will with the mind that it was a role-playing room. That I could create a character and it would be separate from my true feelings. This is not so. After three years I see things very different.

In real life I can be very stubborn, cruel, without tact. I have very few women friends, as I do not trust them. I feel that they seem to be on the look out for the next person, male or female, to hurt and strip them of their selves. I am very controlling and independent, one of those women who would rather eat dirt, than ask for help of a man. Yet there is another side to me. This is the side that has come to embrace Gor as a real place.

In the beginning my name was silverdestiny, which was shortened to destiny. destiny was a fitting name for my beginning in Gor. I learned my place well; being a perfectionist I strived to perfect the mechanics of being a slave. Then my Gorean world fell apart. I never felt totally complete or really felt what the others called their "slave belly". Upon returning to Gor I found a new name, sweetdreams, this being the one I am allowed to keep. Recently I turned over my past of destiny to a Master, and in doing so I have opened myself up.

As a slave of Gor, I answer the homework lesson and hope that my trainers understand my completeness and the feelings that I have. I am a slave of Gor, red silk of Koroba Inn, owned by the Inn and ruled by the Ubar, Master Damian Bloodstar. I am this by the creed of the Priest Kings and the will of my Masters. I live to serve and be pleasing; to be used in any way They feel is deemed appropriate. I am no better than any other slave, yet no slave will be better than I. I will be used, traded, sold, beaten, worked or killed as seem fit by my Master or any other Free Person. This is my place on Gor. I am freer than any Free Woman or Panther Girl will ever be, because I am allowed to be who I am deep within.

~p.365, Mercenaries of Gor~

"One owns slaves and commands them. One does what one likes with them. One does not bargain with them."

If my Master was to tell me this, I would be greatly ashamed. As a slave I know my place, it would not be trying to bargain with Him. He knows what is good for this girl that is why He is her Master. What kind of slave would dreams be if she did not trust her Master to take care of her?

~pg 316, Explorers of Gor~

"`In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal. You have no name in your own right. You may be collared and leashed. You may be bought and sold, whipped, treated as the Master pleases, disposed of as He sees fit. You have no rights whatsoever. Legally you have no more status than a tarsk or vulo. Legally, literally, you are an animal.'"

Literally dreams may be an animal, but one that if found pleasing, will be warmed by His touch, caress by His gaze. A slave that will be dressed in garments that please Him, or allowed to be naked for His enjoyment. A vulo might ease His hunger, but it will be a girl that eases His desires.

~p.227, Magicians of Gor~..

"The demeaning of men, whereas it is permitted to, and not unknown among, free women, is not permitted to female slaves. Such, on their part, can be a capital offense."

Free woman have nothing to visible be remembered by. In the presence of beautiful kajirae, One would need to do something to make Another remember Her. It is usually Their quick tongue and verbal skills that are remembered, since They are not able to tease and tempt with Their bodies as does a slave.

~p.235, Players of Gor~...

"`Any free man may discipline an insolent or errant slave,' I said, `even one who is the least bit
displeasing, even one he might merely feel like disciplining. If she is killed, or injured, he need only pay compensation to her master, and that only if the master can be located within a specific amount of time and requests such compensation.' In virtue of such customs and statutes the perfect discipline under which Gorean slaves are kept is maintained and guaranteed even when they are not within the direct purview of their masters or their appointed agents."

It is sad to think that a slave even a beautiful one can be worth so little to One, that she can be replaced by a few coins. Yet, as a slave she knows this and should strive at all times to be pleasing. If dreams were to displease it would be totally right that she be punished. Her place is to please and if she can not or does not then she is not worth even the few coins One might offer to compensate for her worthless life.

"Slave girls, kept under strict discipline themselves, they wanted it imposed on others with the same authority, exactness and perfection that it was imposed upon them. They were deeply concerned that Claudia not be permitted to get away with anything, no more than they. Was she, too, not a slave girl? Thus, interestingly, it is often slave girls themselves who are most zealous to see that masters are strict with their slaves.

As a slave dreams is kept to strict disciple, why should any other slave be not be of the same discipline? To be very honest if another does something not within the bounds, dreams feels it makes all slaves look bad. Being one that wants her Masters to be pleased, she feels that the behavior of other slaves is also essential in keeping Him happy.

~p.225, Magician of Gor~

"You cannot punish me!" she cried. "You are not my master!" "Any free person can punish an errant slave girl," I said. "Surely you do not think that her behavior fails to be subject to supervision and correction as soon as she is out of her Master's sight?"

If dreams wanted to pick and choose her Master and Who was able to discipline her she would have never chose to stay on Gor, she would have found a BDSM room where the subs act however they wish without a real sense of what it is to be a slave …not only to One but a slave to ones belly.

~Beasts of Gor..twelfth book page274~.....

"How can a girl who is only a slave be of interest?" she asked... "Your question is foolish" I said. "all men desire a slave or slaves, it is their nature. Thus, that a woman is a slave, even in itself, makes her extraordinarily interesting. Her slavery itself, apart from her intelligence or beauty, is found extremely provocative and exciting to a male, because of his nature."

It is a very heady feeling to know that one is desired, that the very thing that makes her what she is, her slavery is exciting and provocative to One. His nature being One in control, and her’s to be controlled.

~renegades of gor..page 397..volume23~..

Shirley, holding and pressing her lips to the hand of Aemilianus, looked up at me. I smiled. Swords are often drawn on Gor over women, and particularly over lovely slaves. Women are prizes, perfections and treasures. It is no wonder that men fight over them with ferocity. Wars have been fought to recover a stolen slave.

That One would fight for her, that she be considered a prize to Anyone makes this girl’s head spin. To be seen as a treasure makes ones heart swell and the desire to please and to be seen as pleasing overwhelming.

"..a form of life in which, in many ways, you are strictly and uncompromisingly controlled, but one in which, in other ways, your deepest desires and needs need no longer be restrained, but may be, fully liberated, a form of life in which you, though categorically subjected to the perfections of absolute discipline, that of the total slave, are, paradoxically free to be yourself."
